Chs Kanaina - Charles Kanaʻina was a man of chiefly lineage who married Miriam ʻAuhea Kekāuluohi. Their son, Willian Charles Lunalilo, became the sixth monarch of the Hawaiian Kingdom. 2. Kamalani - Mr. Levi Chamberlain was a member of the second company of missionaries. He was the superintendent of secular affairs for the mission and served as a missionary teacher. 3. Lunalilo - William Charles Lunalilo, the son of Charles Kanaʻina, was four years old at the time of this letter and a student of the newly founded Chiefs' Children's School.
