Here is my message to you. Provide me the money for the Paalua. My shipmaster told
me half the ship was filled with goods belonging to you. Clarify it for me.

1. Mi. Kamalani - Mr. Levi Chamberlain was a member of the second company of
missionaries. He was the superintendent of secular affairs for the mission and served as a
missionary teacher.
2. Paalua - Paʻalua was a ship that sailed between the islands, transporting people and
cargo.
3. Mataio Kekuanaoa - Mataio Kekūanāoʻa, of chiefly descent, was first married to Kalani
Pauahi and then to Elizabeth Kīnaʻu. He was the Royal Governor of the island of Oʻahu
from 1834-1868, a member of the House of Nobles and Privy Council, the 6th Kuhina
Nui (regent) and the father of Kamehameha IV and Kamehameha V.
