Mrs. Akana (see appraisal) calls it Dahlia, but it resembles a pattern at the Waianae Library Hawaiian Quilt Pattern Collection, Book 1, Pattern #19 called Pua Miulana. Center design was turned making it necessary to cut part of one flower from the border design. (see other notes in Donor file) Given by Sheila Van Zandt, daughter of the late Doreen B. Griep, through her father Elmer F. Griep.&#13;
