Mi Kamelani - Mr. Levi Chamberlain was a member of the second company of missionaries. He was the superintendent of secular affairs for the mission and served as a missionary teacher. 2. Aikake - ʻAikake is a person who has made a request to return to the Poʻahā, about which Gideon Laʻanui is uncertain. 3. poaha - The Po‘ahā, lit. Thursday, is a reference to the Bible study meetings, held on Thursdays, that prepared one for baptism and membership in the church congregation. 4. Gidiona Laanui - Gideon Peleiōhōlani Laʻanui was a native of Waimea, Hawaiʻi who was partly raised in the court of Kamehameha I and married Nāmāhana, a sister of Kaʻahumanu.
