Contains minutes of the meetings of the deacons of the Protestant churches of the Kalaupapa Leper Settlement frm the year the patients arrived to the last time the deacons met. Many years are not recorded. There was no civil government in the early years, so the Church settled secular disputes as well as religious problems. A compilation of the names of the ministers, elders, and members from 1866-1889 and where they came from is on pages 12-28 of the typescripts. The list was revised in 1894 on pages 150-151.
