Kumu Hula Twyla Ululani Mendez and Halau Na Pua A Lei, Kumu ‘Ohu Gon and his halau oli Na Wa‘a Lalani Kahuna o Pu‘u Kohola, Kumu Mahealani Wong with Na Hanona o Ka Halau Hula Pa Ola Kapu and and Kumu Hula Pohai Souza and Halau Hula Kamamolikolehua also appeared at this event. The kahiko portion of the concert showcased the Pele and Hi‘iaka saga. It is while Hi‘iaka travels across Wai‘anae on her way to Pohakea pass that she sees the smoke from the lava flows that have destroyed the lehua grove and killed her friend Hopoe.
