1. Kalaka - Rev. Ephraim Clark arrived with the third company of missionaries.
2. Kauhi - A student who intends to join the Poʻahā.

�3. poaha - Po‘ahā, lit. Thursday, is a reference to the Bible study meetings, held on
Thursdays, that prepared one for baptism and membership in the church congregation.
4. Gidiona Laanui - Gideon Peleiōhōlani Laʻanui born in 1797, was a native of Waimea,
Hawaiʻi who was partly raised in the court of Kamehameha I, and married Nāmāhana, a
sister of Kaʻahumanu. After the arrival of the missionaries, he was an early convert and
became an active member of the church, living in Waialua, Oʻahu.
